Volunteers

Every Sunday, many volunteers show up and work together in creating a safe, caring, and AMAZING environment for our kids!  WaumbaLand is totally volunteer fueled and wouldn’t exist without the leadership and expertise of our volunteers.  Each volunteer has a part to play on our team.  Some of the volunteer roles are:

Nursery Caregiver: Caring adults or students (age 14-18 yrs) who show the love of Jesus through patient, gentle, safe, and fun care for infants and toddlers.

Nursery Room Leader: Caring adult who greets families every week, assists with registration process, and supervises the infant or toddler nursery for one service time.

PreSchool Small Group Leader “Shepherd”: Shepherds teach a small group and expand on the lesson by using the FirstLook curriculum, games, crafts, and other activities.

PreSchool Small Group Helper “Shepherd Helper”: Helpers assist shepherds in various ways during small group time.  This is a good position for students and those who would like to “test drive” Children’s Ministry.

Shadow for a Child with Special Needs: A shadow serves as a one-on-one aide for kids with special needs to enable them to participate in our regular Sunday programming.  No experience is necessary.  All that is needed is a patient heart that wants to serve and love kids.
