What is a lifegroup?
lifegroups
are LakeView's small group ministry.

Why are they important?
We believe that growth happens in the context of relationships with other believers. Two of our core values are “Commitment to authentic community” and the “Power of God's Word”.  Within a lifegroup, you can grow and mature in your walk with Christ side-by-side with other believers. God wants us to love Him and to love people. Why not do both at the same time?

What Do lifegroups Look Like – Really?

We meet in homes in small groups of around 8-10 people on different nights of the week and weekend – whatever works best for your schedule. In a relaxed home atmosphere, we explore the study for that week.  Last semester we had 20 groups meeting in different communities in and around Stoughton and comprising many demographics.  This spring, we'll have a variety of lifegroup tracks including:

  • Discipleship Track: The Life You've Always Wanted, by John Ortberg
  • Application ("Follow the Sermon") Track:  Interacts with and applies the previous Sunday's sermon
  • Marriage Track:  Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage
  • Worldview Track:  The Truth Project
