Meet the Staff

Graham Blaikie

Lead Pastor
graham@lakevc.org
873.9838 ext. 120

Graham is a proud “Kiwi” (native New Zealander) who fell in love with his wife, Doreen (from Rockford Illinois), and theology, while attending Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.

The diminutive couple were then on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ for 14 years. Graham was senior pastor of Auckland Bible Church in NZ for almost eight years.

He likes reading, family vacations, music, sharing Culver’s soups with his wife, and playing Battlefield 2 on the internet with their oldest son who is 8000 away in Auckland. Their other three kids live with them and are in college, high school and elementary school (you can see a family pic on the elder page).

He insists he feels “hugely privileged” to be at LakeView, despite the Wisconsin winter and the weird behavior known as ice fishing. His greatest buzz comes from seeing people exploring and getting excited about the Bible and their relationship with God.

Graham goes back to school about every decade. He has an MA in Apologetics, a Th.M from Dallas Theological Seminary, and has just begun doctoral studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.

He has been in a lead role at LakeView since early 2007.

Jed Haas
Pastor of Family Ministries
jed@lakevc.org
873.9838 ext. 111

Jed Haas joined the LakeView pastoral staff in December of 2005 as the Pastor of Student Ministries after moving from Louisville, Kentucky. Originally from Wisconsin, he attended UW Steven’s Point and then graduated from Boyce College, a school of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, with a degree in Youth and Family Ministry. Jed and his wife Kendra have a passion for seeing families built up and restored in a society where many families are broken, hurting, and feeling alone. Jed wants to come along side and equip parents to be the primary spiritual providers of the home while providing loving environments for kids to see Jesus modeled by caring adults. He brings an exciting energy and 6 years of youth and family ministry experience to LakeView.

Jed enjoys being a dad and making his 2 year old little girl Kylie giggle, being a foster dad, snow boarding (just getting started), anything active and daring, eating homemade meals (“my wife and I do not cook… hint”), playing tennis and golf, reading and hanging out with friends.

After serving as a pastor in Monroe for 11 years, Eric started at LakeView in November of 2009.  His role here is serving as pastor of discipleship and worship.

Eric and Debbie Erickson have been married for 23 years having met at UW – La Crosse. It was also at UWL that Eric met Jesus Christ as his Savior through the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. Deb grew up in a Christian home in the McFarland and Deforest area.  Eric graduated from UWL with a degree in secondary education and taught for two years in northern Illinois where their son Brant was born in 1988. Eric then returned to Monroe, his home town, where he taught and coached for six years. In 1995, Erickson’s responded to God’s call to serve at Faith Academy, a missionary school, in Manila, Philippines. It was there that Eric felt the call of pastoral ministry and when they returned to the US in 1998, he was asked to join the staff of their home church, Monroe Bible Church.  He has continued his pastoral education at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Erickson’s added two more children to their family five years ago. McKenzie is now 8 and Jovanny is 5.

For enjoyment, Ericksons raise Golden Retrievers. Eric enjoys music and sports.  He has coached track and field for 23 years. He is a fan of high school athletics, the Badgers and WI professional teams. Deb enjoys gardening, canning and cooking. Eric gladly supports those hobbies!

Jack has been LakeView's custodian since May, 2006.

He also works part-time for H&R Block and as a self-employed painter.  Well-schooled, Jack has a two-year degree in Accounting from Madison Area Technical College; a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Dallas Seminary.  He also has eight years of pastoral staff experience.
